Winter Activities

If you have non-skiers/boarders in your party or just fancy a day off, there’s lots to do.

If it’s a really lazy day you’re after, you can take a lift up for some lunch at one of the restaurants on the mountain – good if you want to rendezvous with others who are on their skis or snowboards. L’Igloo, Lou Caboens, or Restaurant Chalet d’Clair are all a good for this, or perhaps La Reposette too.

In the Winter Lac Bleu has a lakeside ice rink which is great for everyone and a nice change.

Sledging / tobogganing is always an option – you can get a good run in the chalet garden from up by the top line of trees, but there are proper runs for sledges at Morillon and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can sledge the Marvel run!

Winter walking is a great experience too, with snow shoes and ideally with a guide – there are huge nature reserves in the valley where winter brings a whole new perspective.

You can paraglide over the snowy mountains and valleys for spectacular treat in a tandem jump where you’re attached to an instructor.  There are a few companies that will introduce you to paragliding – a serene, exciting way to get the best view of the valley and alps.

The mountain coaster over at Les Carroz is open year round, so you can zoom down through the trees in the snow as well as the summer.
